On August 23, Best of Panama International Judge Jiyoon Han and Best of Panama National Judge Wilford Lamastus Jr. set the full auction table in New York and cup all 26 lots, with a guided deep dive into the standouts.

What happens at the table

  • Cup all 26 lots. The complete First Light auction. Walk the table and taste every single lot.
  • Taste along with official Best of Panama judges. A curated flight of the standout lots, cupped side by side with Jiyoon and Wilford share what they're noticing, where they disagree, and the stories behind these coffees, from the harvest to this table.
  • Kafatek. One lot, two generations of Kafatek's V3 and V4 burrs in the M98, side by side. Can you taste the difference? 
  • The bid. Everyone names a favorite, and discuss:  which lot should Picolot chase at auction?
